At the Renal Clinic of the John Stroger Specialty Care Center we offer consultative, diagnostic and treatment services to a diverse population of patients with known or suspected kidney diseases.
Care for the patients with Lupus, HIV, and Diabetes associated renal diseases is provided in our subspecialty clinics.
In the general nephrology clinics, patients with a wide range of conditions, such as nephrotic syndrome, proteinuria, acute and chronic glomerulonephritidis, hematuria, cystic diseases of the kidneys, acid-base and serum electrolyte disorders, metabolic disorders affecting the kidneys, kidney stones, rare and genetic kidney diseases are evaluated and treated.

For Appointment:
Patients can be referred to the clinic through the IRIS referral system. We ask that referred patients have a primary care physician to whom the patient can be returned after consultation. If the patient does not have a primary care provider, or if the patient needs to be seen urgently, please, contact the attending nephrologist on call prior to placement of the referral.
