Biosketch: Francisco Angulo joined the CRU team in 1998. He was born in a small city in the south-center of Spain, Puertollano, and moved to Madrid to study Naval Engineering and Information Sciences. He initiated his professional career in a Spanish Advertising firm composing attractive commercials for printed media. After exploring the world of advertising he moved to Chicago and completed a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Computer Networks. In February of 2004 he completed an MBA in Finance. At the professional level, he embarked on a technology crusade at the Instituto Cervantes in Chicago's John Hancock Center where he accumulated experience with Information Systems. As the Director of Information Systems for the Department of Medicine at John Stroger Hospital he aims to provide it with the technological infrastructure needed to improve the quality of health care by facilitating administration, clinical research, and medical education. Since 1998, he has contributed to move the Department's operations from paper-based to computer-based improving its productivity and quality as well as enahncing the Departmental channels of communication. Above all, he maintains a healthy relationship with computers and excels as a mediator between them and humans. He loves playing tennis in summer, cooking paella on Sundays, and telling jokes among friends.
